Father of glory we humbly come before you as weak and broken people. Father i admit that it is easy for me to fall into the lies of the enemy. it is easy to fall into compromise and laziness and apathy. it is easy to believe the lies that there is no hope, for me to fall into despair and depression. God, in my weakness it is easy for me to fall into self-hatred and forget my identity and my self-worth found as your son. it is easy for my faith to be dictated by my emotions or what i am currently feeling at the moment. Abba, i buckle the belt of truth around my waist. that i may gird myself with your truth and your promises, found only in your word. as i ground myself in your promise, i put all my hope in you.
Father i'm asking that your people would be ones who buckle on belt of truth daily. God that our very identity and worship will overflow from an understanding of the truth found in your word. thank you God, that we can put all our hope in you alone, and you will never put us to shame. thank you God that you are our only constant, and you will never forsake us or leave us, even in our weaknesses.
God let your people be ones who take the sword of the spirit which is your Word and wield it with power and authority. let us eat your word, let us live off it, let it sustain our spirits as does bread to our body. and as your people read your word, let us not just highlight it in our bible and forget about it. rather, let us use it in our dialogue and prayer language with you. as we meditate upon your word, i'm asking for the spirit of revelation to bring your word to life. and as we proclaim your word, let it bring life, extinguishing the kingdom of darkness. let darkness tremble and the proclamation of your word. let your word run swiflty, oh God.

God i'm praying for my friends who are struggling with discouragement or are in a season of doubting your goodness. God i'm asking for extra measures of grace for you to protect their heart, soul, mind, and spirit from all lies the enemy attempts to throw at them. we pray against the wicked schemes of the enemy, who loves to steal and lie and take away any areas of breakthrough we are having in you. in the name of Jesus i cancel any agenda the enemy has to lie to us and make us doubt your love and your goodness.
give us the grace, Father, to run into the secret place--to cultivate a lifestyle of intimacy with you so that we may withstand the lies of the enemy. help us to ground ourselves in knowledge of our identity--as your sons and daughters, priests and priestesses, that we may trample on the lies of the enemy.

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you. Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

God we come before you today and we ask that your word would run swiftly at UCSD. God i'm asking that the preaching and sharing of your word would run swiftly and touch hearts with fresh revelation. God would your work change lives, would your word turn lives upside down. let your word bring about change in our lifestyles and our mindsets, oh LORD. let your word pierce hearts. let your word break the old self and establish new identities in the name of Jesus let your word run swiftly with power and authority.

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Father of glory, today i am asking for the knowledge of the love of God to be poured out upon your people. God, i'm asking that your people would operate from a relationship that is rooted and grounded in the knowledge of your love for us. God i'm asking would you stir up hunger and desire in your people, that we may know your love that surpasses knowledge.
God would you encounter your people with the power, the pleasure, the affections, and delight of your love. would your people be ones who hunger after one thing, to have intimacy with you, God. i'm asking that you will begin stirring up a holy dissatisfaction with where we are at now, and that you will begin stirring up a desire and hunger to know your love in a real and tangible way. God, stir up holy dissatisfaction, that will not be satisfied with what we have right now. God i'm asking for hunger to arise, that we would be a people that will pursue intimacy with Jesus at whatever the cost.
God, let this be the generation of lovers, not workers. God i'm praying for the intervarsity leadership team would be one that works out of a love overflow relationship with you. God i'm asking that right now, during summer, that the intervarsity leadership team would be rooted and grounded in your love, that we may come into the year overflowing with your Spirit--your love, joy, peace.
oh God, would you restore the first commandment back into first place! may your people run after your heart, that our success would be determined by your love for us and our love for you. let us not lose our first love! may we not lose our first love, God! may we never grow bored of your love, God. Jesus, let fresh revelation of your love pierce hearts! may your beauty and attraction draw us closer into your heart.

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Father of Glory, today i bring before you your church. God i'm asking for a spirit of unity to unite your church. God i'm asking you to break down every cultural, denominational, and theological wall. that your church would fix our eyes on Jesus and unite as one body and worship together. God i'm asking that every person at UCSD who loves You would be able to work together, that as we unite, we may bring about a movement of radical love that will change the face of this campus forever.
God i bring before you Intervarsity. i thank you God for the diversity you have blessed Intervarsity with. i thank you for the cultural, ethnic, and denominational diversity you have given this fellowship. this year God, i'm asking that you will break down any walls this year within our fellowship, that your church would be filled with humility and understanding as we set aside our differences and set our eyes upon Jesus. God i'm asking that your people will be united by our passionate love for Jesus, and that would be enough. humble us, God, that we do may not worship a culture, fellowship, or an experience, but we worship a man, Jesus, and when we gather, we do not fix our eyes on the style of worship or the style of prayer, but that we will seek only for an encounter with God.
God, let Intervarsity be a place where you can meet people right where they are at. continue have favor over Intervarsity as a fellowship that is welcoming and open to reach the masses, yet has the ability speak intimately, boldly, and powerfully to every heart, regardless of denomination/spiritual background/culture. you have reminded me God, that you are a God who so loved the world, yet you encounter us and you know us intimately. thank you God, for this unique identity that you have given Intervarsity.
unite our fellowship and your church in one direction God: that we may know Your love, God, and make your love known to UCSD.

Revive 2010: Day 6
Hebrews 5:7: 7During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.
Matthew 26:45: 45Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
John 14:12-14: 12I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

Jesus prayed with great fervency. He knew that God is the only One who can make a difference to anything that needed to change, because He is the Almighty. Jesus came before God in humility and love, and with great passion. He came out of a heart that was filled with compassion, not out of obligation or duty.
Abba, we thank You that Jesus prayed with fervency and passion. That He came before You in humility, knowing Your sovereignty and goodness. Lord, release a passion and fervency for prayer like Jesus had as He prayed in the garden. You are the one who loves us, the one who cares about us and who hears our prayers.
Our Hope is in You, Lord. We will wait for Your perfect timing. Thank You that You have a plan for UCSD and for Your children. Father, we will wait for You. Bring Your spirit in power and love and passion as only You can. Open our eyes to what You are doing, that we will not be found sleeping while You are moving and coming in glory.
We trust that as our inheritance as Your children, we can boldly and humbly approach Your throne in confidence that You will hear us and delight in our approach. Thank You that we bear the name of Jesus and have been given the Holy Spirit so we can pray in confidence and authority to drive out darkness and bring forth Your kingdom in the measure You allow.
Lord, give us a heart for the things You care about, knowing that You see our hearts and respond to what is in our hearts. Thank You that it's not about the words we say, but about us letting You come into a situation that only You can take and turn it into what You intend it to be.
Lord, we pray that Your will be done and that we are stewards who know Your heart and who come before You in love and humility, acknowledging Your sovereignty and goodness. We agree with Your plan for UCSD, and we will listen and obey, Lord.
Break down our idols at UCSD, tear down our foundations that are built so solidly upon things that fade away, and as You break them down, rain down Your presence that new life can grow. Thank You for not withholding anything from us, Lord, but allowing us to come into agreement with You and plead with You in full knowledge of Your goodness and power.
In Jesus's name I pray,
